1 Introduction
This application note is a guide to assist users of Atmel
®
AVR
®
ATxmega32D4/16D4 revision B in converting existing designs to
ATxmega32D4/16D4 revision E. For complete device details, always refer to the
most recent version of the ATxmega32D4/16D4 datasheet and the Atmel XMEGA
®
D manual. Errata differences between ATxmega32D4/16D4 revision B and
ATxmega32D4/16D4 revision E are not listed in this document, only in the device
datasheet.
In addition to the differences described in this document, other typical
characteristics could be different. Please check the latest datasheets for details
ATxmega32D4/16D4 revision E also includes new configuration options and
functions. These are a superset of existing functions, and this means that existing
code for these revisions will work on the new revision without changing existing
configuration or enabling new functions. The new options and functions are still
listed in the application note as, to us for customers who in addition to a pure
migration also wish to use see an overview to consider use of the new functions.
