New Security Enhancements for CS1, CJ2 and CP1
Controllers Includes Longer Password Capability
In the spirit of continuous improvement, Omron is enhancing
security for the CS1, CJ2 and CP1 series of controllers. The
controller password will be expanded from an 8 digit maximum
length to a new 16 digit maximum length. Models with the new
firmware will start production on the schedule below.
Effective dates:
October 2015 for CJ2M, CJ2H, CJ1G, CS1, CP1H, CP1L
January 2016 for CP1E
Note: Only new controllers will have the password enhancements.
It will not be possible to upgrade controllers with this change.
The changes will apply to the following controller series:
CJ2M-CPUxx, CJ2H-CPUxx-(EIP), CJ1G-CPUxxP
CS1G-CPUxx, CS1H-CPUxx, CS1D-CPUxx
CP1L-(E)M/L/Jxx, CP1H-X(A)/Yxx, CP1E-E/N
